LEAGUE STANDINGS:

The Structure

The eSports Hub COD League (EHL) will be for European teams on Playstation 4. The league will host up to 24 teams, separated over 4 divisions. Therefore, we are proud to announce that we will be hosting the first league with relegation, promotion & divisions. The league will be played out over 6 weeks, starting in February. The divisions are located above.

The prize pool

The prize pool is currently sitting at $930. A breakdown of prize pool:

  • Team placing first in Championship division $400

  • Team placing second in Championship division $100

  • Team finishing in first spot of Championship division will win $40 (weeks 2 - 4 only)*

  • Team finishing in first spot of 2nd division will win $100

  • Team finishing in first spot of 3rd division will win $50

  • Relegation tournament $200 (other 22 teams will be eligible to participate in a relegation tournament, seeding is dependant on place in league).

This is currently the minimum the prize pool.

Qualifying
  • Championship division will be invitational only initially.

  • 2nd division qualification for those placing 1st or 2nd in qualifying tournament

  • 3rd division qualification for those placing 3rd or 4th in qualifying tournament

  • 4th division qualification for those placing 5th or 6th in qualifying tournament

Mechanics of EHL

Teams will play each other team once in their division in a BO5 over two weeks.

At the end of the two weeks, teams will be placed from 1st to 6th in their division.

Placement depends on series wins - In the event of a tie, map count will be taken into consideration.

The bottom team of each division will be relegated a division.
Teams that finish top of their divison will be promoted.

Elimination from the league

Every two weeks, two teams will be eliminated from the 4th division in the league and replaced with two new teams. These new teams will be the finalists of a small qualifying tournament that will take place on the 2nd week and 4th. The stakes have never been so high to win...

Teams participating must have two members that played in the qualifiers. There will be an opportunity to team change during week two and four.

Preliminary Rules

  • Pre Match Countdown Timer: This timer will display a different amount for each player since connection times vary. You should not dispute a match for this reason unless there was no timer.

  • Restricted Item Clarification: In the event a player equips a restricted item they will only forfeit the map in question if they actively used it in the match. The burden of proof is on the opposing team to prove the item was used.  Leaving a match due to the opposing equipping a restricted item but not using the item will result in a forfeit for the team that leaves the match unless they are able to prove that it was actually used.

    • Restricted Specialist Equipped - If Activated The Team  Would Forfeit

    • Restricted Lethal/Tactical - If Thrown The Team Would Forfeit

    • Restricted Scorestreak - If Called In The Team Would Forfeit

  • The team that is not hosting will pick which side to play on.

  • A "Lag Test" is not required unless the non-hosting team requests one be completed. This is a test round that doesn't count and uses the standard game settings that will be used during the match. For the lag test, a map that is not scheduled for play must be used. If the game lags during this test, a new host must be chosen. If both teams cannot agree on an acceptable host, a ticket must be submitted by both teams to contact an admin.

  • Teams may not delay the match for more than 5 minutes between each round/map. A round is defined as a stopping point during the match when match settings may be altered, and/or players may switch sides or change equipment. An additional 5 minutes may be added due to disconnections or problems connecting. The match must begin after 10 minutes.

  • A team can start a map shorthanded. You can only be shorthanded by one player. For example, in a 4v4, a team can start a map with 3 players. If you are missing more than one player, you cannot start a map. This rule applies to all matches. The team that has a shortage of players will forfeit the map.

  • Deliberate and repeated team-killing or committing suicide on purpose during any game mode  will  result in a forfeit of the map. If a team is accused of violating this rule, the accuser must provide valid video proof. Complete the match and then report the outcome.

  • If a map results in a tie, the map will be replayed with the same sides and settings.

  • Team changing in-game is not allowed. If a player joins the wrong team upon launch, the map will be restarted. Abuse of this rule will result in a ban. If a player changes teams after the first kill, the offending team will forfeit the map.

  • Using disabled equipment/weapons/secondary weapons/scorestreaks during a game will result in a forfeit of that map. Using the equipment includes holding it while running, walking, activating, throwing and/or placing it on the ground.

  • If there is a lag issue, please finish out the map and show proof of every affected round(s)/map(s) in a ticket after the match has been completed. Proof must be in video format, show full ping bars and show the final result of that round(s)/map(s).

  • The hosting team is responsible for ensuring all settings are correct prior to launching the map. Hosting incorrect settings will result in a forfeit of that map.

  • If a player lags out after the first 30 seconds and/or after the first kill, the game must continue. This rule applies to all gamemodes.

    • If a Player disconnects, the map must be continued. The missing player may be reinvited to the game. The team with the missing player may not leave the game or end the game at the conclusion of the round that the disconnect occurred. If the hosting team ends the game, or the non hosting team fully leaves the game due to a player disconnecting they will forfeit the map in question.

  • If an ineligible player joins the match mid map due to the Party Match Setting being incorrect, the hosting team will forfeit the map.

Ban & Protect Rules
  • Ban/Protect System Rules When Enabled: The non hosting team must make their side choice before the hosting team can launch the match. If there is an issue with players being put on incorrect teams during the protect/ban phase the process must be restarted.

  • In the event of a player failing to make their ban/protect pick, they will not be permitted to re-pick in that phase or if a disconnection takes place.

  • In the event of a disconnection during the Ban/Protect phase players will be required to restart the Ban/Protect phase and each player will be required to pick the same items they picked initially, if you failed to pick initially you will not pick in this phase. Failure to pick the same item will result in a forfeit of that map.

  • In the event of a disconnection after the Ban/Protect phase has been completed but before the First Kill/30 Seconds the match will be ended and the disconnected player will be reinvited and has 5 minutes to join. The host will disable the Ban/Protect system for that map and teams will be required to play the match without using the items banned in the Ban/Protect phase. Using an item that was banned in the Protect / Ban phase will result in a forfeit of that map.

  • In the event a disconnection occurs after the First Kill/30 Seconds the match will continue to completion. Refer to Matches Rule 14.1, This rule applies to ALL gametypes.

  • Using Banned Items will result in a forfeit of that map. We suggest atleast one player from each team takes proof of the Ban / Protect phase along with proof of the match.

  • If an item is restricted per the match page challenge options or rules page, protecting that item in game does not allow it for use. Using a restricted item will result in a forfeit for that match.

  • If an item is allowed per the match page challenge options or rules page, banning the item in game WILL override those settings on the match page/rules page.

Reporting Scores & Disputes

You can report scores & disputes through...

1. If I qualify for 2nd, 3rd or 4th division - does that mean I cannot get into the championship division?

No, due to the way the league is set up, at weeks 2 and 4 there will be movement amongst the divisions. The top 2 teams of a divison will move up and the bottom 2 will be relegated. This means that you can work your way up to the top!

2. What happens if teams split? Will the league end?

No! If teams split, don't worry. At weeks 2 and 4, new teams will enter in the bronze division. This means at weeks 2 and 4, there will always be a full 24 teams competing. Why would they enter? The relegation tournament at the end of the league for teams who don't place is a nice incentive!
