The March-Date!

The long anticipated update!

So what's been going on? We'll be answering the repeated question of 'Where the F*CK is the league?'.

First of all, we obviously moved our website over to a new engine in suggestion of our (at the time) web developer. However after our web developer had to pull out we then found a replacement who made several changes to the format of our website (which is currently visibile) and who then, also pulled out and left us in a very awkward position.

We have now decided to bite the bullet and approach a local company who will be able to provide what we not only look for, but require.

How does this fit into the league? Our main priority was to run the league through our website rather than just simply having google forms and twitter to run things. We still aim to do this.

The league will be going ahead. The funding and financial side of the league is in no way affected, this is simply a matter of presentation and how to actually keep on top of the admin side of things. If we simply ran a 24 team league through twitter, you can imagine there would be rules, disputes, reportings, team changes and so much more that would be inherently confusing!

In addition to this, there are many additional circumstances that have to be taken into account that you guys are usually not privy too. Business banking, accountants and so much more. The eSports Hub is only ran by one person (myself) and when attempting to deal with numerous web developers within the realms of the internet, things get confusing and frustrating very fast.

I, we, want to get this league operational as soon as possible. Do not think for a minute, even a second, that we will be backing out of what we said. Unlike so many leagues and companies out there, we made a promise to the community and we are yet to break that promise. But you must imagine that e-mails, twitter and google forms for 24 teams over 4 divisions will get very confusing very fast. Which is why we have branched out to a local company (who are charging a small fortune may we add) to bring a custom website, with log-ins and accounts (which we intended to do weeks ago) where people can report, view, share, talk and interact in regards to the league on one webpage.

We hope this clears things up just a little, we've always tried to be transparent in what we do.

We'll be uploading some videos this week too.

Stay tuned!
